The Oklahoma State Legislature approved legislation that will allow for the continued use of vision care telehealth in the state.
In May 2019, the Oklahoma State Legislature approved legislation (SB 100) that will allow for the continued use of online vision testing and online prescription renewal services in the state. This legislation will help ensure affordable eye care remains available to all Oklahoman citizens. However, while SB 100 protects access to vision care telehealth, portions of the bill are preempted by the federal Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act.
