Kentucky
The Kentucky State Legislature has rejected legislation that would have effectively banned online vision testing in the state.
In March 2018, the Kentucky State Legislature rejected a restrictive provision included in an earlier House-passed version of HB 191 that would have effectively banned consumer access to online vision testing in the state. The final version of HB 191, agreed to by both the Kentucky House of Representatives and State Senate, and signed by the Governor, strips out that provision and instead allows Kentucky consumers to continue accessing safe, convenient and cost-effective online vision testing and online prescription renewal services.
