Connecticut adopted legislation (HB 6012) promoting online vision testing, including online prescription renewal, and allowing those services to be used by consumers after an initial in-person exam and first prescription renewal have been completed. Connecticut and Virginia have now both adopted legislation advancing the use of online vision testing services. The legislation is expected to reduce costs for consumers and taxpayers and increase access to vision care.
