STATE UPDATE – On March 18, Indiana became the latest state to allow online vision testing services. Americans for Vision Care Innovation is pleased to share that Indiana Senate Bill 19 (Electronic Technology for Ophthalmic Prescriptions) passed through the state legislature and was signed by Governor Eric Holcomb.

Beginning July 1, 2020, Hoosiers will have a new and accessible option to use online vision testing technology to renew contact lens and glasses prescriptions. These services save consumers and taxpayers time and money, increase convenience, help rural and medically under-served communities – all while promoting good eye health.
